2010 Sulphur Springs Independence Day Celebration

The 2010 Annual Sulphur Springs Independence Day Celebration happened on July 3. Despite the rain, visitors enjoyed a number of activities. These activities included a fishing tournament, river rat race, car bash, our traditional greased pig chase and a watermelon eating contest.

Heavy rain poured down for a large portion of the celebration, so the firemen didn't mind so much getting dunked at the dunking booth. The rain let up for the amazing fireworks show and dance party at the end of the night. The

Thank you to everyone who contributed to make our celebration such a success!

Chili & Bingo Night

Last Saturday, some of our townsfolk got together for some delicious chili and a few amusing games of bingo. The event was hosted by the Sulphur Springs Community Museum Commission as a fundraiser. Despite the fact that the weather was rainy and there were less guests than expected, a considerable amount of money was raised.
